Editorial Policy
Our standards for gathering product specifications, evaluating beginner utility, and updating published audits.
Sources of Information
Our product evaluations rely on verifiable seller listings, manufacturer parts catalogs, packaging manifests, and publicly hosted tutorial content. We specifically evaluate:
- Physical component inventories: Count of barbed needles, presence of needle holders, finger protectors, and mat dimensions.
- Fiber allocation records: Advertised wool weight in grams and color distribution between core and outer decorative roving.
- Instruction documentation: Availability of printed diagrams or working digital video links in English and French.
Scope of Editorial Work
Our work consists of structured listing analysis, completeness audits, and specification checks. We do not conduct laboratory fiber resilience trials, textile strength testing, or automated endurance assessments. Inclusions are evaluated based on how well advertised specifications fulfill the basic needs of a beginner.
Corrections and Listing Updates
Third-party kit sellers regularly alter needle counts, swap roving types, or change instruction formats without notice. When a manufacturer changes an included tool or when reader feedback reveals an altered package, we revise our audit records to match the current offer.
Corrections are applied directly to the affected product review with an updated verification date.
